The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) recently announced the selection of the Hagerstown-based Architectural firm, BFM Architects (Bushey Feight Morin Architects, Inc.) to design the new DGS headquarters in Baltimore.

The new, state-of-the-art headquarters will be located at 2100 Guilford Avenue in the Barclay neighborhood of the city. The move will allow for the consolidation of DGS staff and resources, and the design will prioritize environmentally responsible features.

In April of 2021, Governor Hogan announced an allocation of $50M to relocate and better the working conditions of more than 3000 state employees who work in at the current State Center and Saratoga campuses. In September of 2021, DGS released a request for proposal (RFP) seeking professional services to provide the design and renovation of the commercial office space located at 2100 Guilford Avenue in the Barclay neighborhood of Central Baltimore.
