Public Safety & Hospitality
Hospitality means something a bit different for Business Improvement Districts. In our case, it’s the goal of being hospitable through services offered by our Downtown Baltimore Guides (DBGs), our homeless outreach services, and integrated security services throughout Downtown.

DPOB's Clean Street Ambassadors and Park Stewards work seven days a week maintaining infrastructure and public parks, providing landscaping services, and assisting with snow response. Through our partnership with DPW they also, collect trash, clean alleyways, sweep streets, and remove graffiti from businesses and historic facades.

We work with government agencies, developers, property managers, architects, neighborhood groups, and residents to bring the best urban design and planning practices to the Downtown core. At the end of the day, we all have the same goal of encouraging safety, sustainability, and equity to create a vibrant, welcoming urban center.

There's always a lot happening in Downtown, and membership with Downtown Partnership provides the tools to help you stay connected to the latest trends, news, and events. Currently, More than 650 companies from around the region —ranging from Downtown’s largest businesses and institutions to small entrepreneurial firms—are members of DPOB.

DPOB operates an extensive marketing program to create and sustain public interest in Downtown. In 2021 this plan is expanding as a result of a new, company-wide strategic plan.
