State Center Relocation
In the spring of 2021, the Governor’s office announced the allocation of funds to relocate more than 3,000 state workers to Baltimore’s Central Business District. This initiative aimed to address vacancies and stimulate the economy of Downtown Baltimore. The current number of relocated workers has expanded to 5,160, and this page provides an overview of the ongoing progress in these relocation efforts.
Now, more than 6,000 full-time state employees are set to relocate to offices in Downtown Baltimore by the end of 2025.
