Monument Lighting Recap, Plus #50YearsOfCheer Photo Gallery

Firework Finale at the 50th Anniversary Monument Lighting Celebration

Last week’s 50th Anniversary Monument Lighting Celebration Marked the end of an era for Downtown Partnership of Baltimore

Last Thursday marked #50YearsOfCheer, but also Downtown Partnership’s bittersweet departure from the planning of one of Baltimore’s best holiday traditions. We wanted to take a moment to thank all of the incredible sponsors, local vendors, performers, residents, and attendees who made each and every event, oh so special, year after year.

The 50th Anniversary Monument Lighting Celebration, Presented by BGE, was one for the history books. Surrounded by neighbors, serenaded by the sweet sounds of Morgan State Choir, while the sweet smells of Deddle’s Donuts wafted through the air, we proudly passed the torch to Mount Vernon Place Conservancy, who will be planning the annual event moving forward.
