Celebrating the 2022 Downtown Baltimore Awardees

September 30, 2022

Each year, Downtown Partnership highlights individuals and businesses committed to the betterment of our neighborhood and presents them with the Downtown Baltimore Awards.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again — we cannot do this alone. Building a better Downtown Baltimore is wholly a group effort. Whether you’re a business leader, resident, or visitor, we’re all in this together. Watch the video below to learn more about our 2022 Downtown Baltimore Award Recipients, and the amazing work they have been doing for Baltimore.

This year, as we celebrated the awardees at our 2022 Annual Meeting, an original piece by local artist Kelly Walker, titled “Heavy Metal,” was presented to each recipient—which is a fitting series that is described as “gritty and purposeful, polished and tidy with a twist of rebelliousness and a healthy dose of pushing the envelope.”

Thank you to Ed Brake, Ellin & Tucker; Dr. Kyla Liggett-Creel, University of Maryland Baltimore; LIVEbe, 2 Hopkins Plaza; Onahelea Shimunek, Lord Baltimore Hotel, and the team behind the transformation of Lexington Market – Lexington Market Corporation and Seawall, for all you have done to double down on Downtown Baltimore.
