BALTIMORE – Downtown Partnership of Baltimore will release its annual State of Downtown Baltimore Report in a special webinar at 9 am on Tuesday, June 30. During the free event, Downtown Partnership President, Shelonda Stokes will be joined by experts from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School who will discuss the data, examine the effects of COVID-19 on higher education, an important economic sector in Greater Baltimore, and provide lessons about pandemic recovery from an expert alumnus in Bejing, China.
The State of Downtown Baltimore Report provides benchmark economic data about the region’s biggest economic engine by tracking employment, residential growth, visitation, and investment. The data covers calendar year, 2019, before the pandemic set in. During the webinar, The Partnership will release a companion report that examines the economic impacts of COVID-19 on the local economy.
The State of Downtown webinar is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required.
Downtown Partnership officials will be available for pre-scheduled interviews immediately following the program. Press can schedule the interviews by emailing Mike Evitts, mevitts@dpob.org.
