Introducing Plans For

The New Eutaw Street

Building on the years of work at DPOB connecting assets in downtown, investing in capital projects, investing in key streetscape improvements, and continuing to develop the Master Plan for Downtown, Eutaw Street will serve as the inspiration and prototype for the newly designed downtown streetscape and pedestrian experience.

Through strategic urban design and planning,

we can create a bolder open space to benefit our neighborhood residents, workers and visitors.

The New

Eutaw Street

Eutaw Street is envisioned to include increased lighting, more trees, improved pedestrian infrastructure, artistic elements highlighting the street as the heart of the Bromo Arts District, and one day, re-imagined streets to support safe and efficient movement.  Lexington Market and the adjacent transit stop serve as critical and active gathering places on the west side of Downtown, and this entire corridor represents a critical area for residents and visitors alike. Imagine a downtown where cultural institutions are connected, pedestrians can walk safely, and everyone gets to experience the unique characteristics of our beloved City.
