We have gathered a list of child-focused events and programs taking place over the next three months that will keep your child entertained all summer long. Make it a summer to remember with fun, hands-on, and interactive field trips to Port Discovery Children’s Museum! Looking for children as young as 12 months, Port Discovery wants to fill summer days with indoor activities and exhibits. From 10 am – 1 pm, Mondays through Friday starting June 30th.
In addition, the museum will be hosting, Friday Fun Night. Every Friday, May through August, Port Discovery will have extended hours from 4 – 7 pm. Admission will be $12!
She’s the biggest pop star on the planet – and now you can experience her greatest hits in concert with the whole family. On June 22, 2024, WTMD & WYPR’s Saturday Morning Tunes presents Taylor Swift for Kids. Be the ultimate Swiftie and feel the beat at RAMS Head Live. Singer-songwriter, Enslow, will be performing Taylor Swift’s greatest hits along with her band.
Hosted by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks’, there are over 20+ summer camp locations spread throughout the city! Varying in types, parents can place their child into a STEM-focused camp or enrich young minds through environmentalism at the nature camp. Starting June 26, 2024, campers are led through 8 weeks of memories, laughter, education, and friendship. Sign-up can be found here.
Friday is your night! Enjoy access to all our amazing animals and award-winning exhibits for half the price of general admission during Half-Price Friday Nights, brought to you by M&T Bank. Every Friday after 5:00 pm, admission to the aquarium is half off! Explore the wonders of the sea right here in Baltimore.
Immerse your child in a week-long, fun, and educational camp experience this summer. Campers will get to do hands-on science activities and explore all of our interactive exhibits all week long! Great for children 4-13, the Maryland Science Center creates engaging programs that stimulate learning while having fun. Available for multiple sessions throughout the summer, the first session begins July 8, 2024.
What’s a little fun without some friendly competition? In partnership with the Mayor’s Office, the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks hosts ‘BMore Night Hoops’ encouraging older kids to flex their athleticism in a late-night hoop session. For ages 14-17, every Friday and Saturday–come out to the Dome at Madison, located at 1401 East Biddle Street for music and entertainment. Be ready, Midnight Basketball starts back July 14 – August 26–see you there!
B&O is committed to inclusivity, support, and safety and is returning this summer with a sensory-inclusive summer camp! Designed specifically for children with developmental disabilities, parents of elementary and middle-aged children will be thrilled of the adventures planned out! STEM workshops, tours, and art projects will fill the minds of young camp-goers. Split into 4 sessions, this all-day camp provides flexibility for working parents in the form of aftercare.
Bust out the flip-flops, sunscreen, and bathing suits–it’s pool season! Baltimore City has over 20 community pools varying from indoor to outdoor for swimmers. A perfect activity to cool off or relax during the hot summer months. Baltimore pools are open to all, but you must have a civic rec account. Registration for pool passes can be completed at any time.
