For a limited time only, Downtown experienced the magic of the Cherry Blossom Pop-Up Bar located at 1 E. Baltimore Street. The Cherry Blossom Pop-Up featured a 20-foot cherry blossom tree constructed by artist Anna Platis, as well themed specialty cocktails.
The Downtown Cherry Blossom Pop-Up is an activation led by our Economic Development team to bring interest and foot traffic to the Charles Center neighborhood, in the heart of Downtown Baltimore.
With retail recruitment and retention being a top priority for DPOB, the team is leaning on the pop-up concept to help reimagine vacant Downtown spaces. The 1 E. Baltimore building has been vacant for nearly a decade and sits center in a bustling residential and employment center at Baltimore and Charles Street.
Alongside our other retail and streetscape improvement initiatives like BOOST and Operation Storefront, the pop-up provides another opportunity to creatively rethink underused spaces, retaining the “Baltimore Charm”, while also providing amenities to the neighborhood.
