SUMMARY:Tribute to Musiq Soulchild & D'Angelo @ Keystone Korner
DESCRIPTION:“I Love R&B” A Tribute to Musiq Soulchild & D’Angelo featuring Marcus Clarke \nPerforming all your favorite songs like “So Beautiful”\, “Buddy”\, “LOVE”\, “Just Friends”\, “Half Crazy”\,” LADY”\, “Cruisin”\, “Brown Sugar” and many more! \nMusiq Soulchild is one of the most influential R&B singers of his generation. Weaned on Marvin Gaye\, Stevie Wonder\, and Donny Hathaway\, Musiq pioneered the “neo-soul” movement of the early millennium. Musiq went from signing on the street corners of Philadelphia in the late go’s\, to landing a big record deal with Def Jam in 2000: ushering in a new age sound of his own. \nD’Angelo established himself as an unwitting founder and leading light of the late-’90s neo-soul movement\, which aimed to bring the organic flavor of classic R&B back to the hip-hop age. Modeling himself on the likes of Marvin Gaye\, Prince\, Curtis Mayfield\, and Al Green\, D’Angelo exhibited his inspirations not only with his vocal style — albeit with a stoned yet emotive twist all his own — but also wrote his own material\, and frequently produced it\, helping to revive the concept of the all-purpose R&B auteur. \nMarcus Clarke is an R&B vocalist from Chesapeake\, Virginia\, known for his smooth tone and heartfelt storytelling. Influenced by classic soul and contemporary R&B\, Marcus blends rich vocals with emotional authenticity\, creating performances that connect deeply with audiences. He has sung background vocals for several major artists and has performed at festivals\, churches\, and live music venues throughout the region. As an emerging artist\, Marcus continues to share his passion for music that inspires\, heals\, and brings people together. Tonight\, he is honored to bring his signature sound to the stage at Keystone Korner Baltimore. \nTickets HERE

SUMMARY:The Curious Life of Edgar Allan Poe
DESCRIPTION:Poe believed a story should be experienced in one sitting. So shall we. \nThe Curious Life of Edgar Allan Poe enters the strange and beautiful inner world of one of America’s most enduring writers. Through neo-classical ballet and African Diaspora movement traditions\, the ballet moves through obsession\, grief\, love\, madness\, and longing — not simply retelling Poe’s stories\, but asking what kind of man could have written them in the first place. \nCreated by Julianna Rubio Slager and Glorielle Niedfeldt\, and supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of America 250\, the production reimagines Poe not as a distant literary icon\, but as a deeply human soul wrestling with beauty\, loss\, and the fear of being forgotten. Atmospheric\, emotionally raw\, and visually immersive\, the work invites audiences to step into the tension between despair and redemption that still pulses through Poe’s writing today.

SUMMARY:Baltimore City Civil Rights Week 2026
DESCRIPTION:Baltimore’s Civil Rights Week has been more than an event. It has been a declaration\, a reminder that the work of equity is not finished\, and that our city refuses to wait. This year\, we go further. Civil Rights Week 2026\, hosted by Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights\, moves beyond commemoration. Under the theme\, From Promise to Power\, this year’s convening is a call to action. From October 2 – 9\, civic leaders\, business executives\, scholars\, organizers\, philanthropists\, elected officials\, and everyday Baltimoreans will gather for a week of transformative events spanning youth empowerment\, public safety accountability\, fair labor\, disability rights\, maternal health\, and more. At a time when civil rights are being challenged\, dismantled\, and dismissed across this country\, Baltimore is choosing a different path. Under Mayor Scott’s leadership\, and through the work of the Office of Equity and Civil Rights\, this city continues to affirm that equity is not optional\, it is foundational. These events aim to celebrate the equitable advancement of Baltimore City while uniting community leaders\, residents\, scholars\, policymakers\, business leaders\, philanthropists\, and so many others. Across the country\, we are seeing growing attempts to dismiss systemic injustice\, defend exclusion\, and discredit diversity as a threat rather than one of our nation’s greatest strengths. Under Mayor Scott’s leadership\, and championed through the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights\, Baltimore is boldly rejecting that narrative. We hope you will join us in supporting and uplifting this critical work for a better Baltimore!

SUMMARY:The Blackbyrds @ Keystone Korner
DESCRIPTION:THE BLACKBYRDS was formed in 1973 as part of the legendary jazz trumpeter Dr. Donald Byrd’s brainchild to expose college students to the real world of music. The Blackbyrds went on to create an everlasting musical style that combined Classical\, Jazz\, Funk\, R&B\, and Gospel which introduced musical terms such as “crossover”\, “urban contemporary” and “easy-listening” to the music dictionary. \nKeystone Kards will not be accepted for this show. \nTickets HERE
