DESCRIPTION:SQUEAKY takes place in and around such iconic Baltimore settings as the Kibbitz Room at Attman’s Delicatessen\, a Colts game at Memorial Stadium\, driving up and down Ritchie Highway\, Lexington Market\, Atrium Village Druid Hill Park and Mondawmin Mall\, all while referencing a who’s who of Baltimore – the Colts\, the O’s\, Earl Weaver\, the Terps’ Lefty Driesell\, Jack and Morty Pollack of the Trenton Democratic Club\, convicted Governor Marvin Mandel\, Spiro Agnew and many others. \nBaltimore native and Friends School alum Jeff Cohen has penned SQUEAKY\, an autobiographical comedy about fraternal strife with his libidinous brother Rob (a Gilman grad) and end-of-life issues with their dad\, Stan “Squeaky” Cohen – the man who was banned from every Old Country Buffet in greater Baltimore.  The play takes audiences on a poignant journey of caring for aging parents – a journey familiar to anyone who must make difficult decisions on their parents’ behalf. \nThe one-night-only staged reading on Saturday\, February 28 at 7:30 pm features an all-star cast of: \n\nDB Sweeney (The Cutting Edge\, Lonesome Dove\, Eight Men Out)\nTony Award Nominee Craig Bierko (The Music Man\, Cinderella Man\, Boston Legal)\nAcademy Award Nominee and Emmy Award Nominee Richard Masur (One Day at a Time\, Rhoda\, Transparent)\n2-time Obie Award winner Benja Kay Thomas (Broadway’s Fat Ham and Skeleton Crew\, Off Broadway’s Booty Candy)\nDrama Desk\, Theater World and Elliot Norton award winner Lizbeth MacKay (Crimes of the Heart\, The Price).
