About the Event
DDD is an opportunity for all families to enjoy the outstanding museums, exhibits and businesses Downtown has to offer at a significantly discounted price, or free. By extending the promotion for more than a week, Downtown Partnership is giving the public more time to attend these attractions and eliminate the long lines that typically occurred when the event was just two days.
Participating Attractions & Organizations
The following list of attractions are currently signed up to participate in Downtown Discovery Days, and are offering deals during this promotion. More attractions are being added to the list daily, so check back soon for more updates!
B&O Railroad Museum
The Birthplace of American Railroading and a National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Site. Enjoy $10 admission to the B&O Railroad Museum January 10-14 (50% off the regular cost of adult admission). Free, onsite parking also available.
Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum
George Herman “Babe” Ruth was born February 6, 1895 at 216 Emory Street, a Baltimore row house that is now just a long fly ball from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Today, the home is a museum that celebrates his great legacy.
Enjoy $5 admission per person on all days the museum is open during the DDD promotion — January 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 14. And be sure to hit the gift shop while you’re there for special Discovery Days sales on merchandise.

Baltimore Museum of Industry
Located in an 1860s oyster cannery on a five-acre waterfront campus, the BMI offers dynamic indoor and outdoor exhibitions, live demonstrations, engaging tours, and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.
Enjoy free admission to the BMI on Saturday, January 8. Timed tickets may be reserved in advance, or secured at the door on the day of January 8 on a first come, first served basis. Free onsite parking is also available to all visitors.

National Great Blacks in Wax
On January 6, 7, 8, and 9, 2022, The National Great Blacks In Wax Museum will offer $1 per person admission to all visitors.
The Museum hours for self- guided tours will be: Thursday, Friday and Saturday – 10 AM – 5 PM; Sunday- 12 PM- 5 PM
Historic Ships in Baltimore
Historic Ships will be offering free youth and child tickets (under age 14) with every paying adult on everyday they are open during the promotion — January 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10, 11, 12, 13, 14.
Experience 19th century life at sea with one of the most impressive collections of military vessels in the world.
Maryland Center for History and Culture
MDCHC will offer free admission for everyone on all days the museum is open during Downtown Discovery Days — January 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, and 14.
They will also offer free exhibition tours on Thursday, January 6: an 11 a.m. tour of the Discover Maryland exhibition, and a 1 p.m. tour of The Unfinished Revolution: Maryland in the Wars for Independence. Each tour is limited to 20 slots and will be first come, first served, with no prior registration.
Maryland Science Center
Enjoy free admission for children ages 3-12 on January 7, 8, & 9. Enjoy 3 levels of hands-on science fun for all ages. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
From January 3 through January 14, 2022, Maryland guests may explore the wonders of the aquatic world with free Aquarium admission.
Tickets must be reserved in advance, will be limited to eight (8) per registration and will become available on December 14, 2021, at approximately 3 pm.
Downtown Discovery Days tickets will be granted in keeping with our timed entry system and all guests will be expected to arrive and enter according to the timed entry assigned to their group upon registration. DDD tickets will not be available onsite at our ticket center prior to or during this special two-week opportunity.
Mount Vernon Place Conservancy & the Washington Monument
Mount Vernon Place Conservancy’s Washington monument gallery is free to visit and explore every day of the Downtown Discovery Days promotion. Climbing to the top of the tower costs only $6 and offer’s gorgeous panoramic views of Downtown Baltimore.
Port Discovery Children’s Museum
On Sunday, January 9, enjoy $10 admission to Port Discovery (essentially 50% off). Ticket quantity restrictions may apply. Visit their website for the most up-to-date information.
Port Discovery is also hosting a $ 2 Community Day on Wednesday, January 12th. Enjoy play, learning and family fun for just $2 per person during Port Discovery’s $2 Community Day on January 12. Come play and learn while exploring Port Discovery’s three floors of interactive exhibits including The SkyClimber, The Port, Tiny’s Diner, Animationland, and more!
Reginald F. Lewis Museum
From January 7-9 enjoy deep discounts on items at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum Shop. Admission to the museum for children 6 and under, and Maryland Public School Educators is always free. General admission to the museum is $12. Tickets can be reserved in advance online, or purchased in-person.
The Reginald F. Lewis Museum is the authentic voice of African American art, history and culture in Maryland. Located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the Lewis celebrates the significant accomplishments and struggles of African Americans throughout 400 years of Maryland’s history.
Star-Spangled Banner Flag House
From January 4-14, enjoy admission to the Star-Spangled Banner Flag house for just $1 per person. Tickets may be reserved in advance on their website.
The Star-Spangled Banner Flag House is a National Historic Landmark and historic house museum. The Museum preserves the historic 1793 structure and interprets the life of Mary Young Pickersgill, a nineteenth-century female entrepreneur and craftswoman of the flag that inspired the National Anthem.
Top Of The World Observation Level
From January 13-16, enjoy $1 admission per person to Downtown Baltimore’s Top Of The World Observation Level, located on the 27th floor of the World Trade Center. Tickets are to be purchased, on-site, on the date you wish to visit, with cash only. No online ticket sales are happening for this promotion.
